Release of the 2024 Open Science Barometer

The 2024 edition of the French Open Science Barometer was recently released, along with its local version for the University of Montpellier.

There you can find all the information on the open access rate of the university’s publications (including by publication type, discipline, publisher, etc.), as well as the proportion of publications that cite datasets, code, or software.

Good news: 79.5% of the University of Montpellier’s publications released in 2022 were open access in 2023, while in 2023, that rate rose to 82%. The open access rate has therefore increased by 2.5 percentage points in one year. By comparison, the national average for the same year is 66.9%.
