The process of developing a Data Management Plan (DMP) is constantly evolving. Beyond the project-based DMP—which is framed within a time-limited project—a more sustainable approach is emerging: the entity-based DMP. Unfortunately, this term is very broad and encompasses a variety of contexts that differ greatly from one another. Addressing the topic of entity-level DMPs raises many questions: Which entities (platforms, units, etc.)? For what purposes? How can we distinguish an entity-level DMP from a data policy? What synergies exist with project-level DMPs, and among entity-level DMPs? What recommendations can we offer to those wishing to draft an entity-level DMP? We will address all of these questions interactively with the audience.
