Webinar // Managing your digital identity as a researcher with ORCID
ORCID, which stands for Open Researcher and Contributor IDentifier, is an international system that allows research staff to create a unique and permanent digital identifier (ORCID ID) to distinguish them unambiguously. The ORCID profile has thus become an essential part of a researcher's digital identity and accompanies them throughout their career. The UM is launching a campaign to encourage the creation and maintenance of ORCID IDs by offering to certify its researchers' accounts.
After a short theoretical presentation, this webinar will show you how to create your ORCID ID and set up your profile, taking advantage of interoperability with databases (HAL, Crossref, etc.) to enrich your list of publications.
As part of UM's Open Science policy, UM's research support team is launchinga series of webinarsfor the scientific community.
Theseshortworkshops(20 to 40 minutes of presentation followed by discussion) will alternate between theoretical input and practical demonstrations on open science, scientific publications, and research data.
