ORCID, which stands for Open Researcher and Contributor IDentifier, is an international system that allows researchers to create a unique, permanent digital identifier (ORCID ID) to uniquely identify them. The ORCID profile has thus become an essential part of a researcher’s digital identity and accompanies them throughout their career. The UM is also launching a campaign to encourage the creation and maintenance of ORCID IDs by offering to certify its researchers’ accounts.
Following a brief theoretical introduction, this webinar will demonstrate how to create an ORCID ID and configure your profile by leveraging interoperability with databases (HAL, Crossref, etc.) to enrich your list of publications.

As part of UM’s Open Science policy, UM’s Research Support Team is launchinga series of webinarsfor the scientific community.

Theseshortworkshops(20 to 40 minutes of presentation followed by a discussion period) will alternate between theoretical presentations and practical demonstrations on Open Science, scientific publications, and research data.
